Fun Tongue Twister Game to Practice Word Sounds

Kids love saying tongue twisters, it is great fun. It makes everyone laugh, watching someone get their tongue in a twist. As they try to say the rhyme, faster and faster.

This fun game is surprisingly, a great way to help a child learn words. Below I have put my favourite tongue twisters on a card for you to use. Have fun playing this game, the child will be learning and they don't even know it.

Practice Word Sounds

  • Politicians, actors, public speakers, use tongue twisters as a warm-up exercise. Doing tongue twisters helps improve word pronunciation, making a persons speech clearer.
  • The words in tongue twisters are so similar. That when the child says the rhyme, they really needs to think about and pronounce every sound in each word.
  • Focusing all every sound in word, being able to break a word down into sounds. Helps a child become better at reading and learning new words.
